Miss Tan

Miss Malvina Tan, my English Lit. teacher back in the old SAC days. Currently known as Mrs. Malvina Lim, teacher in TKGS. She is married (not to the char kway teow man, thankfully) and has a lovely kid.

I was suddenly reminded of her during Maths lecture earlier this morning. Mr. Maths Lecturer was pointing towards the screen and I thought back of the Literature lessons I had back in secondary school…

While Miss Tan was pointing towards the white projector screen, a gust of wind blew from the open windows (and no, we did not have air-conditioned classrooms) and blew the transparency off the OHP. Her immediate response was to catch the projected image on the screen. It was hilarious watching her throw herself onto the screen, attempting to retrieve the blown away document.

As I thought about that, I started chuckling into my Maths notes. I will also never forget her signature on e-mails:
