It’s been a rather disturbing week. I wished it simpler.

(I thought it would be a great week since it was our 14th month together. Apparently, it was not meant to be.)

It’s hard moving, but don’t worry sis, I know you’re still here and not that far away even though you’re no longer five blocks away. Don’t worry about people not understanding you. I do. Really, I do.

Another GDIT assignment due on Monday. Thank God it’s the final one. Spent 12 solid hours on this CD cover. I had better get an A.

Oh, did I mentioned I B-ed my first GDIT assignment? And no, I’m not really happy with this B.

Time to research on my topic for “Singapore Blogging Community” for OC. What a stupid module! Oh, I’m pleading Singaporeans: share your views on the blogging community in Singapore. Feel free to list URLs of blogs, articles and whatnots.

Thanks in advance.

I guess the blogging community is the same here as it is everywhere. Some are poseurs, others are attention seekers, some write for fun and many are the bandwagon jumpers who do it on the spur of the moment BECAUSE everyone else is doing it. Typical monkey see monkey do.

Even though I am not a local, I feel like the Singaporean blogging community is a bit more open and it’s possible that people recognize each other. One time I made a write up about a restaurant and I actually got a reply from them because they searched their name up in Google. So..

But I agree with Jakob. It’s seems to be similar to the blogging communities in other places.

Hey Nadine!
Yeah it’s hard having your sister move farther away.. My older sister (whom I love very much) recently moved with her husband to Georgia! That’s on the other side of America. *cries*
I know I will see her once in a while (make that a very long while) but still..
Whoa you spent 12 hours on a CD??? I don’t think I will survive that long! Hope you get a good (better!) grade on it! A+….

Hey girl, if you’re not happy with the grades, there are always future chances for you to work harder to get that ‘A’. Motivate yourself and keep telling yourself that you can do it, and all of us will be supporting you too. 🙂

Blogging community in Singapore? I don’t consider my blog as part of the “Singaporean Blogosphere’ because mine is more ‘isolated and quiet’ in a way.

I am not particularly happy about the Singaporean Blogosphere receiving so much attention from the media because some of them are starting to become very egoistical about themselves, and start deluding themselves that their ‘blogging skills’ are better than the rest.

So what if a blog is featured in the media? It doesn’t make the blog any way better than the rest, and it generates both good and bad publicity for the site itself.

In my eyes, there is no such thing as a perfect blog, or a perfectly well-written blog, and everyone has their own individual styles.
