7ners: 2000 & Always…

As the Lunar New Year is coming round the corner, my mother have been making me sort through my stuff (affectionately known as ‘junk’ to her), making me throw out things that I do not want anymore.

I am a neoprint fan. Don’t know what that is? It’s a photo sticker. You can find the booths in most shopping malls. I was such a neoprint-freak back in the late 1990s and early 2000s. My record is still standing strong—7 neoprints in a day.

I still have my old neoprint books. I was flipping through them today as I went through my stuff and I was smiling to myself and recalling old memories with even older friends. I came across the pictures I took with the 7ners and remembered the very first neoprint we took together in June 2000:

(Forgive my old scanner for the crappy quality.)

My, my. We look so young. And way too innocent. And—okay you guys, don’t whack me—most of us looked rather, er, geeky back then with those glasses. Thank God for contacts!

Gosh, look at how we’ve grown. Latest picture (we’ve upgraded from itty-bitty neoprints to 5-mega-pixelled digital photographs) that had all of us was taken in October 2004:

Sitting: Soffie & Pei Wen

Yep, we’ve grown up so much. Not to mention an addition—Jo 😀
