Back to Kindergarten

I enjoy the lessons where there are no lecture notes nor much left brain cells are needed.

Of the eight modules that I am taking this semester, I really like the messy-arty ones. And that would be IDEA and DRAW.

Oddly, most of my classmates (well, the guys, actually) do not like these two. They find it lame and boring. However, I beg to differ. I feel really comfortable to let my creative juices flow.

Two weeks ago, Anna gave us all a piece of A3 (or was it A2?) drawing block and told us to draw anything we wanted as long as it didn’t look like anything at all. The lesson was something about Ontographic Drawing.

So here’s what I drew:

My IDEA ontographic drawing

I think Elisia would find this very familiar. It is a similar piece I did back in secondary three for my art. And I did another piece for my first layout for my personal domain.

After the ontographic drawing, we had to make a 3D clay model of our drawing. When everyone saw my drawing, they all went, “Oh my goodness. Nadine! How are you gonna make that 3D?”

I had totally no idea.

So I brought home some clay and made this:

For presentation last week, I was asked what my clay model was. I said it was my chocolate storage container. Anna then asked if it’s in a bigger form (like a building for instance), what would it be?

“A chocolate factory.”

Just like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
