Standing Committee

The announcement of the 46th Council for Singapore Polytechnic Students’ Union has been declared by President Senthil yesterday.

Initially, I was not quite happy with my post. I was given a post as Standing Committee under Publications—my second choice. In which my first was Executive Committee under Finance.

I guess being a treasurer for four years in secondary school, a year in polytechnic (not to mention current “treasurer” for the 7ners) and with the experience of a clerk in NTUC Income’s Finance Department did not impress them.

In my disquieted state, Jun Wei gave me pep talks to comfort me and also to point out to me that after all, my position was not that bad. I wouldn’t be piled with loads of work and thus, am able to take up an exco position at SPIM as Webmaster.

(There’s a rule that doesn’t allow one to attain a high position in two different clubs. So having a lower position in SPSU means that I can have a higher one at any other club. In my case, SPIM.)

I should stop. I have a GDIT assignment due this Friday and I have only just come up with a concept.

I am so dead.
