Picking Up the Pieces

Thank you, one and all, for the kind comments. In reply to some, yes, I have moved webhost and now, I have a new reseller at Netrillium. I have always yearned to be hosted there but their prices deters me from doing so. Thankfully, they have got a Price Match Guarantee and thus, I am able to afford their services. Ermina has done a wonderful job in helping me and setting up my account. Kudos to her.

I have been told by some to treat this as a fresh start. Oh, how I wish to! But it is rather frustrating when I keep having a new clean slate and losing all my dear entries (that mean so much to me) and starting all over again. I’ve been blogging since late 1999 and I don’t even have a single entry from then to keep in memory. How sad!

Determined not to lose all my entries again, I have spent the past few days googling and yahooing for caches of my entries. (Thank you Jakob!) I have always preferred the former but I have found out that the latter has a better cache of my blog entries.

I have gone as far back as getting all my WordPress entries since January this year. Thankfully, I’ve got my GreyMatter entries from 2003 to 2004 in my computer hard drive. If you’ve noticed (I bet you have not), I have moved some of my WordPress entries to my personal site as I find that they fit better there than here.

Aside from my online loss, I have been trying to pick up my school life from where I left (due to mass deadlines). I was rather hurt and disappointed to find that some people think that I’m a free rider when it comes to group work. I admit, I love working alone (as I can be a loner at times). But I can say that I enjoy working with others, too.

I still remember the time when I was in primary four and there was a group project to do for social studies. I still remember that I was grouped with my best friend and three other good friends. I still remember. And I shall save this memory for an entry.

Anyway, I was hurt as it was not because I don’t turn up for discussions or whatever. More like I was absent from school or that I was not informed of anything. I admit and will take part of the blame since I myself did not initiate any meetings or discussions. You may call it a poor excuse but really, I was overloaded with school work, online work and home work. (Home work as in doing house chores.)

Anyway, I finally made a trip to SPIM clubhouse (located at T1503). Yes! We actually have our very own (rather poorly-furnished) clubhouse! I caught up with updates and decided to be more involved now that the semester is ending in five weeks’ time.

SPSU? Well, maybe I shall also save that for another entry.

Till then, I’m still picking up the pieces.
