The Morning After

Sunrise at Batam

Part 4 of a mini-series of my short getaway to Batam.

The cab dropped us off at the lobby of the resort and we groggily got out. She was hungry while I was tired. So I suggested calling room service as the complimentary breakfast buffet was a good hour and a half away.

After washing up, I went to the balcony, hoping to capture the first rays of sunlight.

It was a cool morning with a gentle breeze blowing against my face. But as the sunlight touched my cheeks, I felt the morning’s warmth and the sun’s energy flowing through my body and making me feel clean and whole, like it was a new day to do the impossible.

I sat there on that balcony, camera in hand, and enjoyed the view.

I loved the way that you captured the morning sun! =) It’s almost as though I am actually there. =D
