I was text messaging this really old friend of mine. (I knew him since I was nine.) I was telling him how busy I was and how tough school was. He wished me the best and I said:

“I hope I can endure school…”

His reply jolted me awake, forcing me to remember who I was—who I am.

“Don’t be silly. You are Nadine Su! What can you not endure?”

Yes, I am Nadine Su. I can endure. Life may be a struggle but nothing good in life comes without one.
