Why I Watch Star Wars

Somehow, (I don’t know why) I did not feel like putting “Revenge of the Sith” in the title. It felt… evil.
Anyway, I must say I was rather disappointed with Star Wars 3 as I’ve heard from various critics that it’s the best instalment of the first three episodes.
But I found myself preferring Star Wars 1 and 2.
Attack of the Clones (Episode 2) was the first ever Star Wars movie I watched in theatres. I still could remember that I watched it with Darren Png.
After expecting too much from Revenge of the Sith (Episode 3), I’ve been thinking about why I actually watch Star Wars in the first place.
Here’s what I came out with:
Who: R2-D2 and C-3PO
Why: They’re the only characters (as far as my vague knowledge of SW goes) I know that appear in every episode. Though I never understand the beeps that R2-D2 sounds out, I’ve always relied on C-3PO to tell me what R2-D2 is actually saying (or beeping) about.
And I’ve always thought that C-3PO was actually C-P3O. Till now I’m still confused as I had to ask my brother (who’s better at SW) three times which was it.
By the way, I’ve always adored R2-D2 better 🙂
Who: Padmé Naberrie, Queen Amidala
Why: Firstly, it’s Natalie Portman. (Need I say more?) Secondly, she’s hot. Padmé Naberrie (known as Queen Amidala in the first episode) is like the girl I’ve always wanted to be.
Just kidding. But really, she’s got the guts, the power, the looks, not to mention, the many, many extravagant clothings she has. I mean, check out her costumes! Totally love her battle costume.
Who: Anakin Skywalker
Why: I think that young Anakin is so much cuter than the older one. I mean, look at this kid. He looks too sweet to turn out to be that black monster with a mouth-breather, which, unfortunately, did happen in the end.
He’s the kid I would have liked to be if I lived in Tatooine. I mean, this dude created C-3PO! And he’s a champion podracer! Genius, I tell you.
Who: Master Yoda
Why: If you’ve noticed, I typed “Master Yoda” and not plain “Yoda” as I have great respect (R-E-S-P-E-C-K! Respeck!) for this really old Jedi Master.
He walks around with a walking stick but flies with a lightsaber in battle. Unique he is. I mean, is different his talk. Like others totally not.
Darn, influencing me he is.
That’s for the first three episodes. Now, I found two reasons why I want to continue watching the next three:
Firstly, I really want to know what happens after Anakin becomes the evil Darth Vader. I’ve only knowns bits a pieces from watching small scenes of the movies and reading a few guidebooks and hearing people talk.

Who: Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa Solo and Han Solo
Why: Although their looks and styles are like that of ABBA, I must say that Luke is a real looker. Anyway, the Princess has the looks to. I admit, it’s gotta do with the looks at times. As for Han Solo, well, he’s the hero, ain’t he?
awww. the little kid who’s now icky grown grungy long haired ani aka darth vadie.
george lucas’ love scenes made me want to hurl. he should’ve gotten someone else to write the romantic scenes like in ep I. that dude does not have one romantic bone in his body.
nevertheless the lightsabers were awwwwesome! 😀 and yoda. who can resist yoda?
and yr last pic has inspired me to rewatch the previous SWs. which i have been wanting to do.
so yay!
