The sun shines brightly as it rises over the horizon. The morning is warm and pleasant. The sand sinks softly beneath her feet as she strolls along the coast, looking at the scenery, occasionally stopping to stare at the waves, being enthralled by its mesmerizing rhythm.
Rise, crash, slide. Rise crash, slide.
She tilts her head towards the sun, letting the rays hit her face as she smiles at her surroundings and the peacefulness of it all.
The horn hoots behind her and she ignores the interruption. They can wait, she thinks to herself. Just a little longer.
She likes it here. And she does not want to leave.
Lex! We got to head off now! The horn hoots again. We’ll drop at the next one, alright?
The next one. Another hundred miles. A single road, a map, no destination. She smiles at those thoughts.
She tears her gaze from the sea, heads towards the car, slides into the passenger seat and looks at the driver with a grin.
“Let’s go.”
