Exams?

Today at 1800 hours, I will be sitting for my WEBP paper. I am far from being confident. In fact, I am still stuck at lecture 03 notes.

I was flipping through the past year papers and I nearly had a heart attack. I can even imaging myself answering the questions should they appear in this evening’s paper.

Explain the four basic web design principles.
Uh, unfortunately, I only remember the design principles for GDIT. Memory for WEBP, where oh where art thou?

What is a rollover?
Um, the images changes when the mouse is placed over?

List four questions a web designer would ask, before developing a website.
1. Why should I create a website?
2. Who am I targeting?
3. What layout should I use?
4. Why am I answering this anyway?

I don’t really plan my designs while making a layout. It is more like:

      1. Open graphic program
      2. Open intended image
      3. Start playing around with effects and brushes
      4. Add text
      5. Add finishing touches

Voilà! Layout complete!

Father always goes: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. But I didn’t plan to fail this paper!

Sigh. Back to mugging.

hey I hope the paper turn out well! 🙂 Don’t be so nervous! Nervousness just makes your mind go blank. Anyway I somehow do layouts like you do. Plan? What plan? I just let creativity do the work. *lol*

nadine, i dont think anyone can actually plan these things. like u said, u see something nice or worth editing.. you let your creative juices flow and add on to that till ur satisfied. that’s it. we won’t know exactly what we need and where we need to put it until theres a need to know. this is called progress.. or evolution if you may.

i thought that was the whole idea of being creative… that it’s not supposed to stop but rather to just get better and better…

k, it’s 11.15pm and i’m putting way too much thought into this comment. good luck with the studying ya! 🙂
